I’ve worked with Monika for the best part of a year now. When I first found Monika, I was in a dire state, having suffered from acute inflammation issues stemming from Celiac disease, with symptoms ranging from brain fog and emotional management disorders to chronic fatigue – all to the point where I was more or less incapacitated and unable to function. I had been suffering on and off for some years and was really at a loss. I’d also seen several nutritionists during that time and thought I knew enough, but all that changed when I met Monika. As a naturopath, she provided so much more knowledge, lifting the veil on my ignorance about self-care and diet. But as a person, I can easily say, hands down, that Monika has provided an unparalleled level of care and support, guiding me through the most difficult of times. She educated me on nutrition and how best to help and care for myself (and my body) far beyond what I already knew. Her methodology ranges from detailed nutritional assessments, tailor-made dietary and supplement plans (which I still follow), to bespoke yoga routines based on my needs. She even taught me several breathing exercises, which I use daily. Furthermore, over the course of the year, Monika has been able to steer me towards other therapies and treatments to complement my healing journey and has ultimately led me onto my next phase of treatment and recovery, with a core understanding of nutrition and self-care to guide me along the way. From start to finish, she has gone far beyond the call of duty and has most definitely provided a top level of service that goes further than the mere exchange of time and services for money – at what is already a very affordable price. I had the privilege to get to know Monika in 2018. Back then, I was an overworked university lecturer with multiple health issues and totally dependent on painkillers and medications. In my latest medical check-up, it was discovered that my bones were thinning, and I suffered from brain fog,low energy, and rapid weight gain. I contacted Monika for a thorough assessment, and she took me under her wing. She was extremely supportive in my quest to improve my health. I, (Fiona Ghaus) am aged 60. I stopped practicing as a lawyer aeons ago and am now a happy partner in a furniture manufacturing business. After my last annual medical check up, I was informed by the medical specialist that my bone density mass was super low and indicative of the prevalence of osteoporosis. At best, I could be considered to be in the peri-osteoporosis bracket. My options then, as suggested by my specialist, was to up the intake of my calcium as well as a side of something called FOSAMAX PL,US and to start with some weight-bearing exercises to complement the cardio I was already doing. Not particularly keen on starting with a course of medication, I decided to reach out to Monika, who came recommended highly, by a very good friend. Her first session with me was via a ZOOM call and involved me going through in detail, my past and current health concerns and status. She was incredibly thorough and covered everything from my lifestyle and weekly diet to all the medications and supplements I was on. Having assessed my health-status, she crafted and customised for me a naturopathic regime, Yoga therapy and a breathing program.
Being in my 60-s, I have experienced several challenging health-conditions, amongst others, asthma and colitis. Monika’s emphasis is to build strength and resilience in bones and muscles, and although challenging, I gradually improved my strength. Not only that, via the nutritional program she devised for me using only natural supplements, my gut-condition also improved substantially. I admit now, freely, that I detest any form of exercise. Mindful of that, as well as of my age and physical abilities (or lack thereof!), Monika makes it a point to work gradually from the simpler to tougher movements, thus, not overwhelming me. Best of all is the personal attention and encouragement from her during our sessions.

“Few years back I experienced a severe health challenge. Subsequent to it and being in my 50s, I decided that I should better manage my health and well being to avoid or at least minimise future problems. Hence I made an appointment with Monika for her naturopathic consultation and individual Yoga therapy lessons. Before we began, she took ample time to investigate about my health and well being; and the body and mind issues in order to tailor the right program for me naturopathically as well as for my Yoga- and breathing practice. Initially I found some of the strength-building exercises challenging, but over time my strength and flexibility as well as my energy-level increase substantially. Even some of my recurrent aches and pains improved substantially and I kept looking forward to our weekly sessions. I embrace menopause as nature intended and wish to grow old healthily and gracefully. |

When I was looking for something meaningful to do to pass the time at home during the lockdown, I remembered Monika’s online yoga class. The course is eight weeks long, and every week you get information about health and detailed descriptions of two yoga pose accompanied by a video. The timing is good; you have to learn by listening, watching and imitating the poses. Then you practice for a week before you learn new poses. It did help that I have some yoga experience but getting more explanations on the linked FB page was helpful. Anyone doing the course can ask questions, and Monika will patiently point out and show the essential features of the pose. For three months, I have been diligently practising yoga almost every morning. I happily recommend this course to all who prefer flexible learning and want a safe yet effective program to strengthen their muscles and bones.

As a nutritionist, I know the importance of nutrients and exercise at all stages of life. Still, when transitioning into the autumn of my earth days, I realised that I had been neglecting myself a little over the years. That had to change! The local gym is a place I could not see myself occasionally. Pumping weights might be great for some, but I need something else. I was looking for a softer, more gentle, nonetheless as effective approach to strengthening my body. And due to a busy life, I needed it to be flexible to fit into my schedule. A friend of mine recommended The Healthy Bones & Joints Program, and I am so happy I signed up for it! I love the combination of learning the why while applying the what and how. Just completed level II of Yoga and Naturopathy for Bone and Joint Health. My best takeaway was learning the right way to do the poses with specific instructions on common errors and correct versions. All of this is captured in modules created for every lesson. So, practising at home is possible, given these modules as references. Selected recipes with an emphasis on bone health and general well-being are also given with notes on exercises. My knee pain has significantly reduced, and my back pain is under control. I have also gained a more toned body and a stronger core. Thanks, Monika!

I recently completed a course called Yoga & Naturopathy for Healthy Bones & Joints and absolutely enjoyed it. Monika introduced and guided us using the proper techniques to relieve different aches and pain. She also gave us nutritional advice towards achieving better health. In Level 2, Monika continued to advise us on an easy-to-follow nutritional guide to be added to our diet. Level 2 was more advanced, with many more tips and techniques to practice yoga safely without props (as much as possible). I’ve gained more in-depth knowledge, and the easy-to-follow notes and videos Monika developed helped me practice more confidently at home. This course is scientifically proven to improve bones and joints health, and I’m enjoying the pathway to better health.
